OUR CONCERTS
“Bonjour Sourire” with Gabrielle Sandman: Singer; Benjamin Blackstone: Guitarist/Singer; Baptiste Morel: Double Bassist/Singer. They call themselves Bonjour Sourire. This is lively, sparkling music, sometimes teetering on the edge, sensitive, touching, often mischievous, and full of energy. This trio knows how to surprise us and make us smile, without fail. A vibrant trio that delivers their sparkling version of some of the great classics of French song. It swings, it grooves, it tugs at the heartstrings, it’s fun—in short, you’ll surely be surprised, charmed, and enchanted.

Mélanie Dahane Quartet with Mélanie Dahane: vocals, Antoine Delaunay: piano, Marc Michel Le Bévillon: double bass, Luc Isenmann: drums. Benoit Sourisse: bass guitar; André Charlier: drums; Pierre Perchaud: guitar. Charlier/Sourisse: it’s a long story. An impressive story, built together through their daily lives as twin musicians. The thread of Ariadne, unraveled throughout their journey from Paris to New York and from Rio to New Orleans, brings them back today, their heads filled with unexpected melodies. The two composers present original pieces on stage, enhanced by the subtle voice of the guitar, embodied by the dazzling Pierre Perchaud. Between melodic dialogues and rhythmic duels, their sound evokes, at first glance, through the alchemy of timbres, an era where groove and “warmth of sound” went hand in hand. A subtle, dynamic jazz, where André, Benoit, and Pierre play the appropriate role in each of these little stories they know so well how to tell us.

The quartet offers a repertoire of symbiotic instrumental flights, where the voice is a journey, the groove knows no bounds, and the enchantment is absolute.
